Terms of Service

Alarm-clock.org is a free tool for counting down to good moments. These terms keep it simple, safe and fair for everyone. By using the site or creating a countdown, you agree to them.

1. The service

Alarm-clock.org lets you view countdowns to public events and create shareable countdowns of your own, free, with no account or sign-up. Countdowns you create are encoded in the link itself: we don't store your event in a database, and anyone you share the link with can view it. Treat a countdown link as public.

2. Acceptable use

Countdowns are for celebrating, not shaming. You may not create or share countdowns that:

Countdowns that match these categories are automatically blocked and shown as "page unavailable." We may update the blocked terms at any time, and decisions err on the side of safety. You can report abusive content on our report page.

3. Event dates & accuracy

We work to keep the dates on our public event pages (holidays, birthdays, sports, sales and more) accurate, but dates can change and errors happen, sale windows shift, ceremonies are rescheduled, and some dates are estimates until officially announced. Event information is provided "as is" without any guarantee of accuracy. Always confirm important dates with the official source before making plans. Spotted a mistake? Tell us on the wrong date page and we'll fix it.

4. No warranty & limitation of liability

The service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We don't guarantee the site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any countdown, reminder or date will be accurate. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Alarm-clock.org and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, including missed events, missed sales, or plans made in reliance on a countdown.

5. Third-party links

Event pages may link to official sites, retailers and other third-party resources for your convenience. We don't control those sites and aren't responsible for their content, availability or terms. A link is not an endorsement.

6. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The current version always lives at this address, and continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.

7. Your content & responsibility

You are solely responsible for the event names and messages you create, and you confirm you have the right to use them. Don't include other people's private information, or names, logos, images or text you don't have permission to use. Because a countdown lives entirely in its link, you can change or retire it at any time by simply creating a new one and sharing that instead.

9. Privacy

How we handle data is covered in our Privacy Policy, the short version: no accounts, no stored events, and we only use your email if you ask us to send you a link.
