Four days later it broke Spotify's single-day record for a non-holiday song with 15.17 million streams, then beat its own record the next day with 17 million. Within weeks Saturday Night Live had built an entire sketch around grown men tearfully debating its bridge.
Eight weeks at No. 1, three Grammys in one night
'drivers license' spent eight straight weeks atop the Hot 100 and set the Spotify record for most streams in a single week - 65.87 million. Its parent album SOUR turned Rodrigo into the defining new voice of her generation, and at the 2022 Grammys she swept Best New Artist, Best Pop Vocal Album for SOUR, and Best Pop Solo Performance. GUTS, in 2023, proved lightning strikes twice.
